RAW was live from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are on commentary for Raw.
John Laurinaitis is welcomed to the ring ahead of his performance review, which the WWE COO Triple H will perform. Laurinaitis shakes hands with the ringside fans and the Raw crew. Laurinaitis is in ‘suck-up’ mode and calls Triple H a ‘good friend’ of his and talks about doing a good job as the interim Raw GM.
Laurinaitis runs down the Raw Elimination Chamber match at the namesake PPV next month (click here for the announcement). He then books several matches for later in the night: CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan, Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres, Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz!
CM Punk hits the ring and sings ‘Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, Goodbye!’ to Laurinaitis. Punk mocks Laurinaitis about his impending performance review and believes Laurinaitis will be fired tonight.
Daniel Bryan hits the ring and says that nobody cares about Punk and Laurinaitis’ soap opera! There’s tension between Bryan and Punk, but Punk quickly reminds Bryan that they’ve been friends for over a decade and they should put on a great match tonight.
Sheamus then hits the ring! The winner of the Royal Rumble wishes Punk and Bryan luck for their respective Elimination Chambers matches next month, as he will face either the WWE or World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania 28. Sheamus mocks Laurinaitis before leaving. Punk and Bryan then shake hands ahead of their Raw main event.
Ahead of Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett is shown watching the match with Josh Matthews from a luxury sky box! Matthews is getting comments from Barrett during Orton’s match. Barrett will face Orton on SmackDown this week.
1. Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler (with Vickie Guerrero)
Ziggler controlled the early goings of the match, but Ziggler showed off too often and Orton ended up getting the win after an RKO.
Winner: Randy Orton
Backstage, Laurinaitis is backstage shaking hands with anyone he find in a last-ditch attempt to make some allies.
2. Brodus Clay (with Cameron and Naomi) vs. Tyler Reks
Reks gets a little more offense than recent competitors, but Clay still picks up an easy win with What The Funk!
Winner: Brodus Clay
Backstage, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are speaking about their respective lifestyles – Bryan the vegan and straight edge CM Punk.
3. WWE Champion CM Punk vs. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan
After a back and forth match between these 2 excellent wrestlers, Chris Jericho rushed to the ring. He pulled Bryan out of the ring which caused the DQ. Jericho then nailed Punk with a Codebreaker but Bryan was awarded the match as Jericho hit him first.
Winner by DQ: Daniel Bryan
Jericho left without speaking and Punk looked puzzled after recovering from the Codebreaker.
Mike Tyson is then announced as the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Ahead of The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston, R-Truth joins Cole and Lawler for commentary. The Miz cuts a promo before the match starts about headlining Wrestlemania.
4. The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston
Kofi gets a huge victory over the man who headlined Wrestlemania 27. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise to score the pinfall win.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
Backstage, David Otunga is seen speaking with John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis begins to get paranoid about Otunga taking his job! Otunga reassures him that isn’t his plan however.
A special video package airs looking at The Rock.
5. Divas Championship: Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres
Phoenix squashed Torres in under 30 seconds. Phoenix hit the Glam Slam for the win.
Winner: Beth Phoenix
While Eve lay in the ring reflecting on her defeat, Kane’s music hits and he appears on the titantron. Kane tells Eve that he will continue to beat down Zack Ryder until John Cena embraces the hate. Kane then appears behind Eve and slowly stalks her.
John Cena then hits the ring and Cena is furious! Cena nails Kane several times with the steel steps before setting up the announcer’s table for an Attitude Adjustment through the table. Before Cena can deliver it, Kane escapes and flees through the crowd. Cena looked to be enjoying the beating he was giving Kane.
Main event segment: John Laurinaitis hit the ring for his performance review. Laurinaitis started analyzing his own performance and awarded himself top marks in several areas! Triple H soon cut him off and said that Laurinaitis has used the position for personal gain. Triple H spoke about when Vince McMahon did that, he was replaced by Triple H. When Triple H did it, he was also replaced.
Laurinaitis begged Triple H for his job and said he would do anything to keep his job. Triple H made him apologize to the WWE Universe, but the crowd didn’t accept his apology! Triple H then teased making Laurinaitis join the Kiss My Ass Club! Laurinaitis even got down on his knees and put chapstick on. Triple H didn’t make him join the club however…
Triple H then started to wish Laurinaitis the best in his future endeavors, but was cut off by an ominous gong! The Undertaker is back!
The Undertaker said no words as he stared a hole in Triple H and then looked up at the Wrestlemania 28 sign. Triple H gave him a pat on the shoulder and walked away, apparently turning down his challenge. The Undertaker was left looking confused, alone in the ring.
