SmackDown Report (Feb. 10, 2012): Daniel Bryan beats Randy Orton

SHEAMUS kicked off SmackDown with a promo talking about his Wrestlemania 28 title shot. Sheamus reveals that he will make his decision after the championship matches at the Elimination Chamber PPV. Sheamus is then interrupted by Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and the Big Show in order. All 3 state their intentions to win the World Heavyweight Championship at the Elimination Chamber PPV and talk about the possibility of facing Sheamus at Wrestlemania 28.

Barrett and Rhodes poke fun at the Big Show’s poor Wrestlemania record and Big Show takes offense. A brawl breaks out and the babyfaces stand tall. A tag team match between the 4 men is setup later tonight.

1. The Great Khali beat Jinder Mahal. Khali won after hitting his modified Chokeslam.

Daniel Bryan is backstage with Theodore Long. Bryan complains about a BBQ Long held in the parking lot earlier tonight, telling Long it’s making him sick (on account of him being a vegan). Bryan attempts to get out of the main event against Randy Orton, but Long tells him that he must compete.

2. Beth Phoenix beat Alicia Fox. Beth won after hitting the Glam Slam on Fox. After the match, Beth went to attack Fox but Tamina hit the ring. Tamina and Beth stared each other down. Beth seemed happy that someone challenged her.

Natalya and Tyson Kidd are backstage talking about Natalya’s problem, which Tyson assumes is flatulence but Natalya was talking about rambling on when nervous. Natalya then farts and Tyson leaves the scene. Hornswoggle walks on camera and faints due to the smell.

3. Sheamus and Big Show beat Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett. Sheamus nailed Barrett with a Brogue Kick for the win.

Michael Cole is in the ring to interview AJ next. AJ reveals her neck-brace is coming off next week. She also says she doesn’t blame the Big Show for knocking her down, but she does hold Michael Cole accountable for never believing in her boyfriend Daniel Bryan. She has a pop at Cole for insulting the Divas and calls him a “bias, obnoxious jerk!” Cole takes offense and tells AJ she is blind to what Bryan is doing and that people believe Bryan set her up for a fall.

Daniel Bryan interrupts the interview and tells Cole that if he says anything else, he will break Cole’s arms. Bryan rants on people eating meat and drinking beer through the Super Bowl game. He then says that he is leaving the arena with AJ to prevent her from further trauma.

Theodore Long cuts Bryan and AJ off backstage and tells Bryan that if he leaves the building, he loses his World Heavyweight Championship.

4. Ted DiBiase beat Hunico (with Camacho). Hunico worked on DiBiase’s broken wrist throughout the match, but DiBiase got a quick win after a roll-up.

John Laurinaitis is on the phone from Abu Dhabi (where Raw is currently on tour). Laurinaitis spoke on keeping his job as interim Raw General Manager and said that this Monday night on Raw will be “unforgettable”.

5. Daniel Bryan beat Randy Orton via DQ. Bryan pushed Big Show, who was on commentary and Big Show reacted by tossing Bryan to the ground causing the DQ.

After the match, Orton confronts Big Show for costing him the match and the 2 men start brawling over the commentary table. SmackDown ends with Daniel Bryan walking up the ramp smiling as he watches Orton and Big Show brawl.
