Samoan Professional Wrestling Family
“High Chief” Peter Maivia (former professional wrestler) married Leah Maivia (former wrestling promoter) and had a daughter, Ata Maivia. Ata married Rocky Johnson (former professional wrestler) and had a son, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The Rock is often billed as a third generation star, as both his father and grandfather were both wrestlers and his grandmother was a wrestling promoter.

Peter Maivia was a blood brother to Amituana’i Anoa’i.

Amituana’i is the father of Afa Anoa’i (former professional wrestler and manager). Afa fathered 5 children, several of which entered the world of professional wrestling. These include: Samu (known as one half of The Headshrinkers), Afa Jr. (best known as Manu, formerly of WWE’s stable: Legacy), Lloyd (appeared in WWE as Tahitian Savage in 1993) and Monica (who married former professional wrestler, Gary Albright).

Another of Amituana’i's children was Vera, who married Solofa Fatu and had 3 children: Solofa Fatu Jr. (best known as Rikishi in WWE), Sam Fatu (best known as The Tonga Kid) and Eddie Fatu (best known as Umaga or Jamal in WWE). Rikishi has had several children, including twin brothers: Jimmy and Jey Uso.

Other children of Amituana’i’ include: Tumua (who fathered Reno, best known as Black Pearl in Nu-Wrestling Evolution), Junior (who fathered Rodney, best known as Yokozuna) and Sika (who fathered Matt, best known as Rosey, and Joe Anoa’i, who is signed to WWE’s development territory Florida Championship Wrestling).
